1 :: video/action for New Bark + Route 29
What are you following me around for?
[The muffled voice is that of a young boy; about eleven years old, by the pitch, sounding tired and confused. It's followed by a Bagon's babble, then a sigh.]
Never mind.
[There's a clatter, then the 'Gear's audio abruptly clears, as though the mic were moved away from an obstruction. The video clears, too, showing a view of trees and sky and grass on Route 29. A few seconds of silence.]
You shouldn't make a mess of things. [rustle.] What's in there, anyways...? [rustle clunk scrape clatter.] Are these clothes? [thump.] I think this is food- [The Bagon babbles loudly, and the boy yelps, and the 'Gear flips over twice. The video now shows the Bagon running around, Mom's bento lunch in hand, biting the box determinedly. The boy is standing up, watching helplessly.]
Wait, don't take that! It's not yours, it - oof-! [He takes two unsteady steps, leans forward, and falls over. The Bagon hops up onto his back and sits down on top of him, still chewing away on the box.] Let me up..!
[action]
[Before that elegant scene takes place, a purple-haired kid in Youngster garb can be found in New Bark, stumbling his way out of town and falling over every twenty seconds or so. The Bagon orbiting his feet appears to be offering him moral support...or maybe it's just yelling at him. He looks pretty determined to get out to Route 29, scraped knees be damned.]

I can show you a few plants that you can eat, but I don't know how many of them you'll find. Everyone who comes here walks down that route, so other people might have eaten everything already.
[Well not exactly everyone, but close enough.]
[He nods, accepting the offer.] Is that what humans eat?
Most of the humans here seem to only eat food from the towns for some reason. I think that it's because somehow most of them don't know what plants that they can eat here. There was someone gathering information on edible plants for a "guide" a while ago, so more people might be learning about what plants to eat. [An important thought occurs to him and he voices it right away.] Make sure not to eat any of the berries that you find growing here. Most of them are poisonous to humans and the ones that aren't taste terrible. I'm not sure if humans can even digest them. Pokémon can eat them though, and some kinds can heal them if they're sick or injured, so if you find any you should bring one or two with you in case they get hurt.
[The camera whips around to point at a fern. Apollo's hand enters from the side to hold it closer to the camera so that DORUmon can get a good look at it.]
These ferns are fairly common, and they're easy to see from a distance, but people probably eat them first because they're so easy to find.

Then he realizes what he's doing and quickly draws back, turning red and looking sheepish.]
R-right.
This one is fairly common too, but it's harder to see unless you're looking.

I don't see any other edible plants nearby that I can show you, but those should help a bit.
